My work got a 3D printer!
It's so cool. It's like having a sci fi cloning machine like you'd see in tv shows. We printed a monkey already, though it takes a long time to print. People keep coming in to watch it and are like omg it's making stuff!
It's our little pet robot, though it looks like a toy oven. The future is here. It will be pretty exciting once these things get faster, cheaper and better quality. (I really want to print a fork, and eat with the fork of the future.
Anyway, I've started doing a collection of texture studies in Photoshop as warmups because I practice a lot with my pencil but not so much with digital. So please suggest me any sorts of textures or surfaces to try painting.
E.g. dirt and marble are some I've done.
